How To's
These instructions describe how to "drop" your completed grade reports. When you "drop" a grade report, you place it on the grade report server (shared computer). For some divisions/grading periods, "dropping" a report allows your supervisor/team leader to review the report. For other divisions/grading periods, "dropping" a report simply files it for safekeeping. Contact your division head for information about your division's use of "dropped" reports.
Log into Your Grade Report Server
Drop Your Reports
To begin, log into the grade report server for your division -- either LS Reports, MS Reports, or US Reports, as follows:

When you began these instructions, you opened a window on your Macintosh desktop. You now need to open a second window, so click Macintosh HD again.
Move the two windows so that you can see both clearly. (To move a window, press and hold down the mouse/trackpad button while pointing to the gray border at the top of the window, and (still pressing) drag the window to a new position. Release the mouse/trackpad button when the window is in the desired position.)
In the upper window, click the name of your grade report server in the left-hand sidebar. (The picture shows LS Reports, but you should choose your division's server if it's different.)

You should now see the folders on your grade report server. Each grade report server contains different folders. The pictures below shows LS Reports, MS Reports, and US Reports servers, in turn.

You must navigate through folders until you see the Drop folder for the current grading term and, for some divisions, grade level. Once you can see that folder, go onto the next step.
In the lower window, navigate so that you can see the grade reports you have completed. These reports are usually on your Macintosh HD (hard disk). You may also have saved your reports to iPike or to a USB keychain drive; if so, log into iPike or insert the USB keychain drive, and then navigate to your reports, before proceeding.
In the lower window, select the report(s) you wish to drop onto the grade reports server.
Now, press and hold the mouse/trackpad button on any selected report (do not release the button!). While pressing, drag the report(s) from the lower window to the upper window, directly atop the Drop folder, until the Drop folder darkens. Then release the mouse/trackpad button immediately.
You will see a message like the following:

Click OK. This message indicates that you cannot open the Drop folder, which is true. Only supervising teachers/division heads can open Drop folders and see their contains.
Note! You can only drop a grade report once. If you try to drop again (for example, after correcting errors that you found too late!), you will see an error message. If you need to correct a grade report you have dropped, ask the Director of Technology for assistance.
